The Real Estate Pipeline Board: What Agents Put on the Wall (and What Stays in the CRM)
The short answer: a real estate pipeline board is a dry-erase board on your office wall with one row for every deal and a column for each thing you need to see at a glance: the client, the address, the price, where the deal stands and what happens next. It does not replace your CRM. It shows the deals in motion right now, so you and your team can see them without opening a screen. Ours start at $150 for a 15-row clear acrylic board.
We made the first Real Estate Pipeline Board and have designed thousands of them since, so we have seen what agents keep on their boards and what they end up erasing. Here is what belongs on the wall, the columns to start with, and how to pick a size.
What goes on the wall and what stays in the CRM
Your CRM is the record of everything: every contact, email, document and past client. A wall board is the short list. It holds what you would otherwise reopen the CRM ten times a day to check. A good test: if it changes every week and you need to see it during a phone call, put it on the wall. If you only look it up once in a while, leave it in the software.
| Put it on the wall | Keep it in the CRM |
|---|---|
| Deals under contract and the next deadline on each | Full contact history, emails and call notes |
| Active listings | Contracts, disclosures and other documents |
| A few hot leads you are working this week | Your full database and long-term follow-up |
| Closing dates this month | Past clients and anniversary reminders |
| Your goal for the year and how close you are | Commission splits and accounting detail |
The columns to start with
Every agent tracks a little differently, which is why we customize the column titles for free. These are the columns we would start with, and most boards use six to eight of them.
- Client name. First column, every time.
- Buyer or seller. A short column, or split the board into a buyer side and a seller side.
- Property address. Give it room. On our pipeline boards the address space is 6″ wide.
- Price. List price or contract price.
- Status. Listed, under contract, pending, closed. One word you can update in a second.
- Lead source. Useful if you want to see which sources turn into closings.
- Key dates. Pick the deadlines you work to in your market, such as disclosures, due diligence, inspection, appraisal and closing.
- Next step. The one thing that moves the deal forward, written plainly.
Rows on our boards are 1″ tall, so short entries work best. If a column keeps overflowing, it probably belongs in your CRM instead.
Four layouts agents choose
The pipeline board. One row per deal, columns across the top. Our Real Estate Pipeline Clear Acrylic Board was our best-selling real estate board over the past year. If you work with both buyers and sellers, the two-section version splits the board in half.
The everything board. The Moving & Shaking board puts listings, sales goals, hot leads and sales volume on one board. It has four rows for hot leads and a row of houses you fill in as you close toward your goal, from 36 to 48 houses depending on size.
Separate buyer and seller boards. Some agents prefer two smaller framed boards side by side, one for buyers and one for sellers.
The goal chart. If the pipeline lives in your CRM and you only want the goal on the wall, a real estate goal chart lets you choose how many houses to fill in. We wrote about why a goal on the wall works.
Want to change the columns yourself? The pipeline board with column title stickers comes with 110 vinyl stickers, so you can set the columns the way you like.

How to pick a size
Count the deals and listings you have open in your busiest month and add a few rows of room. Here is the clear acrylic pipeline board by size.
| Size (width × height) | Rows | Price |
|---|---|---|
| 23″ × 18.5″ | 15 | $150 |
| 31″ × 23″ | 18 | $240 |
| 35″ × 23″ | 18 | $310 |
| 35″ × 30″ | 25 | $340 |
| 42″ × 27″ | 22 | $400 |
| 48″ × 36″ | 27 | $395 |
| 48″ × 36″ in thicker acrylic | 27 | $470 |
The 35″ × 23″ board has the same number of rows as the 31″ × 23″ but wider columns, which helps if you write long addresses. The standard 48″ × 36″ board hangs on eight mounts; the thicker version is stiff enough to need only four. A colored marker set adds $30 to any size. Prices were checked in October 2026. The product page always shows the current price.
Clear, white or framed
- Clear acrylic is what most agents choose. It looks like part of the wall, and we print it on the back so the grid never wears off.
- White acrylic hides the wall behind it. The white pipeline board starts at $200.
- Framed costs less. The framed pipeline whiteboard starts at $180 for a 36″ × 24″ board, and you can change the columns later by swapping in a new printed poster.
- Want to use SOLD magnets? Our 1″ glass SOLD magnets work on our white magnetic acrylic boards, and on framed boards if you choose the magnetic surface upgrade.
Work in lending or escrow? We also make mortgage pipeline and escrow boards.
